The first pimp house record was released on November 2, 2017 on Anahata Love Recordings by OM Daddy also known as Jim Carson on ANA30 - the label's 30th release - "Pimp Respect (I Am The One)."

DJ Holly Adams was the first DJ to ever play the first pimp house record on her radio show and livestream broadcast called "Holly's House" in Santa Monica. Carson handed it to her on USB stick at the suggestion of radio station program director Brandon Anjeleno's insistence. Needless to say, it was a big hit with the station and the live audience in attendance. Pimp House had been released to the public in a big way.
The next day, the first pimp house album was released "Pimp Respect: (I Am The One) Remixes. The description read, "A house music album of epic proportions - OM Daddy at his best - tech-house, tribal house, disco house, nu-disco, & good 'ol jackin' house - with remixes from Jerome Zambino, Tony Largo, Jim Carson, & Riche Boom. Possibly, the best house music album of 2017."

In April of 2024, the original single was remastered to meet the updated sound of the label and give it a finer polish. Pimp house is not quite funky house and not quite nu disco but a fusion of the two genres that gives its unique flavor that becomes pimp house.
